Volume 2   END OF SUMMER AND SHARING Posted 9/1/2017 Hello again.

Here we are at the unofficial end of summer. Where did it go?  Here in Central New York State we have had a very cool summer. Record wet July and only a couple of 90 degree days. The dog days of August were not to be . Air conditioners had a break as low night time temps were down so the windows were wide open, bringing in those summer sounds of the night workers, like peepers chirping, frogs croaking  and yes the occasional motorcyclist who wants to wake up the whole county with his loud Harley going through the gears as fast as it will go.

My heart goes out to all you people in Harvey's path. The destruction and loss of life is heart wrenching. I encourage everyone not affected to please help out any way you can. Donating money to reputable charities is the best way to get aid to these unfortunate victims the fastest. We donated to our local Red Cross Chapter earmarked for Hurricane Harvey.  Many people say that the Red Cross keeps a big share of donated monies and not all goes to aid. But think about it. How do you think all those bottles of drinking water, blankets, food and medical supplies get paid for and shipped to affected areas. I feel that the 8% that Red Cross states is administration costs is well worth getting my 92 cents on the dollar to the people.

Sending all victims of the flood my deepest sympathy for what you have lost, and wish you all a speedy recovery. For each and every first responder and volunteer helping out, the very best in prayers and thank yous for your tireless help to your fellow neighbors and strangers in need. Just like 9/11, KATRINA,SANDY and every other natural and terrorist catastrophe: .....

WE ARE USA STRONG. WE WILL GET YOU THROUGH THIS
